About the product
Glass Fiber Reinforced Gypsum panels (GFRG panels) are ecofriendly gypsum panels of 12m x 3m dimensions made at a facility set up by FRBL in Kochi. These panels are designed so as to be used as load-bearing as well as partition components of a framed structure. (For our readers to know, most G+1 and G+2 structures are a combination of load-bearing and framed structure.)

Why use these panels?
Better look and finish
These panels are used for a structure as both a load- bearing component as well as partition walls as mentioned earlier. Being made in a factory, they provide superior finish to the walls which is nearly impossible to achive otherwise.
Perfectly suited for our climate
The gypsum used in these panels are treated before manufacturing of panels to suit moist and humid conditions prevalent here. Structures already built using these panels are proof that these panels are very well suited for our climate.
Eco-friendly
Being made of residual gypsum, these panels are one of the most eco-friendly building product available. Construction using this panel also considerably reduces the use of other construction materials.
Fast construction

Just to give our readers an idea, in most cases, the wall erection of an entire floor can be completed in 1 or 2 day. Panel erection is a super-fast process.

There is no need of plastering which saves a big chunk of time.

Even finishing work like painting is quicker because these panels are already of a very superior finish.
Economical
These walls are less than half the thickness of a conventional brick wall. (12.4 cm as compared to 25 cm)
Advantages being

You get more carpet area for the same plinth area (around 7 to 10% more). This means that you save around the same percentage of money.

The overall weight of the structure is much lesser.

Columns are distributed within the panel cavity. So you get concrete walls instead of brick walls.
